The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters announced on the 18th that it held the '2023 Provincial Firefighting Skills Competition Awards Ceremony' in the large conference room on the 3rd floor of the headquarters building in Gwonseon-gu, Suwon.
Earlier, from the 28th to the 31st of last month, the Provincial Fire and Disaster Headquarters held a firefighting skills competition at the Gyeonggi-do Fire School in Yongin, with 193 firefighters participating in six categories: fire tactics, rescue tactics, emergency medical tactics, life safety (vehicle door opening and animal capture), and fire investigation (held separately on March 22).
After totaling the scores by category, Ansan Fire Station took first place, Suwon and Yongin Fire Stations took second place, and Icheon and Yangpyeong Fire Stations each received encouragement awards.
Additionally, 30 individual awardees in each category received prizes. The selected personnel from each category will represent Gyeonggi-do at the national firefighting skills competition to be held in June.
