"Let's Eradicate School Violence" ... Gyeongbuk Office of Education Holds Campaign at Andong Bokju Girls' Middle School
On the 13th, the Gyeongbuk Office of Education conducted a school violence prevention campaign under the theme "Our School Without Violence, Classrooms Full of Happiness" at Bokju Girls' Middle School in Andong.
They are establishing and implementing field-centered school violence prevention measures to eradicate and prevent school violence, which has recently emerged as a social issue.
The field-centered school violence prevention measures include key policies such as school violence prevention activities to establish a happy school culture, building an early detection system for school violence and enhancing case handling, healing, guidance, and relationship restoration for victim and perpetrator students, and establishing a social cooperation system through community collaboration.
As part of school violence prevention activities, the Gyeongbuk Office of Education encourages schools to conduct student-participatory campaigns at each school.
On this day, the campaign was carried out mainly by students belonging to the student council holding school violence prevention banners and placards, along with faculty members and parents distributing school violence prevention leaflets and cyber violence prevention booklets. Lim Jong-sik, Superintendent of Gyeongbuk Education, and Lee Soon-ho, Director of Andong Education Support Office, visited the site to encourage the campaign activities.
In particular, the sight of parents handing out school violence prevention booklets and cheering on the students conveyed the social desire to eradicate school violence.
