Hyundai Department Store Duty Free Opens Niche Perfume Section... "Targeting MZ Generation"
Perfume Sales Increase 15% from January to March This Year
Hyundai Department Store Duty Free announced on the 9th that it will open the industry's largest niche perfume specialty store, 'House of Perfume,' on the 9th floor of the Trade Center branch.
House of Perfume brings together more than 30 niche perfume brands such as Acqua di Parma, Le Labo, Penhaligon's, Byredo, Diptyque, and Maison Margiela.
There are also brands launching their first offline stores in the duty-free industry. Notably, Jo Loves, a perfume brand newly launched by Mrs. Jo Malone, the founder of the niche perfume brand Jo Malone London, and Clive Christian, a British luxury perfume brand famous for its ultra-high-end perfumes, are included.
Hyundai Department Store Duty Free is strengthening its beauty content, including the niche perfume specialty store, to capture the growing demand for duty-free product purchases. In fact, perfume sales increased by 15% year-on-year from January to March this year.
To celebrate the opening of the niche perfume specialty store, various brand-specific promotions will be held. Jo Loves will offer additional gifts such as scented candles and body lotions depending on the purchase amount, and Clive Christian and Van Cleef & Arpels plan to provide perfume sample kits with perfume purchases.
