Gwangju Bitgoeul 50+ Center, Launch Ceremony for Visiting Parenting Coaching Service Project
The Gwangju Metropolitan City Bitgoeul 50+ Center announced on the 5th that it has been continuously entrusted with the 'Visiting Parenting Coaching Service Project,' one of the career-type job projects for middle-aged seniors, supported by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and Gwangju Metropolitan City, following last year.
In March, the center selected 20 participants and conducted human rights education and basic training by invited experts before field activities, and held a launching ceremony on the day before starting the activities.
The 'Visiting Parenting Coaching Project' provides social service jobs needed by the local community to personnel who have experienced career interruptions or retirement due to household labor after working in childcare-related professions such as childcare teachers and kindergarten teachers, and supports their transition to private-sector jobs through experience.
In particular, it is a project that helps novice parents struggling with childbirth and childcare, playing an important role in assisting pregnant women and mothers of infants and young children.
The main services include ▲providing visiting psychological counseling and parenting coaching services for mothers and caregivers ▲contributing to stress relief caused by parenting ▲offering warm support in parenting methods such as ways to play with children and forming attachment.
The project period is until December, and the target beneficiaries are pregnant women in Gwangju, grandparents raising infants and young children, and all families raising children under 12 years old at home. Regardless of income, families can apply for the free visiting parenting coaching service.
