Castelbajac's 'No.1 Player' Lim Jin-young Signs Sponsorship with Daebang Construction
Castelbajac announced on the 5th that Lim Jin-young, their first management business athlete, has signed a sponsorship agreement with the prestigious team Daebang Construction.
Castelbajac announced its entry into the management business last May and signed Lim Jin-young as their first athlete. Since then, they have taken on the management role, sparing no support in clothing and equipment to enable Lim Jin-young to actively participate in activities.
Under this contract, Lim Jin-young will wear clothing, caddy bags, umbrellas, hats, and other items bearing the Daebang Construction logo while participating in tournaments and engaging in various promotional activities for Daebang Construction. Additionally, with Daebang Construction’s active support and sponsorship, he will receive a stable environment conducive to achieving good results. The main sponsorship contract with Castelbajac was automatically terminated upon signing the main sponsorship contract with Daebang Construction.
This contract is regarded as an unprecedented achievement, marking the signing of a main sponsorship between a professional athlete affiliated with a fashion company and a prestigious golf team, opening a new horizon in sports marketing. Daebang Construction, which signed the main sponsorship contract, is a prestigious team that also includes players such as Lee Jeong-eun 6, Lee So-mi, and Noh Ye-rim.
Lim Jin-young is a second-year KLPGA player who emerged like a comet after passing the KLPGA full membership qualifying tournament in first place during his third year of high school and securing a full tour card for the 2022 KLPGA regular tour. In his debut year on the regular tour, he demonstrated his long-hitting ability and potential by ranking 7th overall in driving distance while competing against formidable senior players.

A Castelbajac representative said, "In the professional golf industry, which has grown both quantitatively and qualitatively over the years, there has occasionally been a tendency for benefits to be skewed toward one side among players, sponsors, and management. Moving forward, through a sponsorship program structured for a win-win situation for all parties, the golf brand will also strive to ensure the sound growth of the golf industry."
