View original imageStarting with a congratulatory performance by the Pohang City Symphony Orchestra, the event was attended by about 200 people including Vice Mayor Kim Nam-il, City Council Chairman Baek In-gyu, National Assemblyman Kim Byung-wook, city and provincial council members, heads of various organizations, and members of women's groups. The ceremony included the presentation of appreciation and merit plaques, the handing over of the Women's Association flag, and inauguration and retirement speeches.
Kim Seong-ye, inaugurated as the 14th President of the Pohang City Women's Association, stated, "I will listen to diverse voices and revitalize the Women's Association through mutual exchange and cooperation, and unite women's capabilities and energy to strive for the development of the local community and the happiness of citizens."

Founded in January 1987, the Pohang City Women's Association currently comprises 31 organizations and over ten thousand members who continuously engage in various activities to improve women's status and promote a culture of gender equality. In particular, last year, all members participated in the recovery efforts from Typhoon Hin Nam No, actively contributing to volunteer activities in the local community.
