Netflix to Release Kim Woo-bin's 'Taekbaegisa' on May 12
Online video service (OTT) Netflix announced on the 29th that it will release a new series, 'Taekbae Gisa' (Delivery Knight), on May 12.
'Taekbae Gisa' is a series depicting the story of the legendary delivery knight 5-8 and refugee Sawol, who resist the Cheonmyeong Group that rules a future Korean Peninsula where severe air pollution makes it impossible to live without an oxygen respirator.
Director Jo Eui-seok, who directed films such as 'The Watcher' (2013) and 'Master' (2016), took the helm. The series portrays the delivery knights (Knight) who risk their lives to deliver not just goods but survival itself in a society where the environment has been devastated by air pollution and social classes have become distinctly divided.
Actor Kim Woo-bin plays the legendary delivery knight 5-8, and refugee Sawol, who admires him, is portrayed by Kang Yoo-seok. Esom plays Major Seol Ah of the military intelligence service.
