2023 Human Resources Development Excellence Institution Certification Project Announcement
The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Employment and Labor announced the ‘2023 Best HRD (Human Resource Development) Institution Certification’ project on the 29th.
Started in 2006, the ‘Best HRD Institution Certification Project’ is a system that certifies excellent institutions and companies that manage personnel based on capabilities and provide opportunities for competency development to current employees. Up to 2022, a total of 1,588 institutions (658 public and 930 private) have been certified.
Institutions wishing to be certified as Best HRD Institutions this year can apply by the 30th to the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training (public sector) and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea (private sector). Certified institutions will receive a certificate (valid for 3 years) and a plaque, as well as various benefits such as training for personnel in charge of the certified institutions.
For public sector Best HRD Institutions, professional counseling is provided to subordinate and unsuccessful institutions that wish to participate, supporting them to improve their human resource management and development systems.
From this year, companies certified as Best HRD Institutions will receive preferential guarantee benefits from the Korea Technology Finance Corporation for job-creating companies, in collaboration with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
The certification committees for both private and public sectors will review and select certified institutions through document and on-site evaluations in September, and plan to hold a certification awarding ceremony.
