Gori Nuclear Power Plant Unit 3 Shutdown, Enters 27th Planned Preventive Maintenance
Gori Nuclear Power Plant Unit 3 has stopped power generation and entered planned preventive maintenance.
Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Gori Headquarters (Head: Lee Gwang-hoon) announced, "Gori Unit 3 (Pressurized Water Reactor type, 950,000 kW class) ceased power generation at 10 a.m. on the 28th to replace fuel and perform major equipment maintenance, commencing the 27th planned preventive maintenance."
During this planned preventive maintenance period, the Gori Headquarters plans to carry out fuel removal and reloading, inspection, maintenance, and equipment improvements across the power generation facilities to enhance the reliability and safety of the nuclear power plant.

After various statutory inspections under the Nuclear Safety Act and confirmation of compliance by regulatory agencies, Gori Unit 3 is scheduled to resume power generation in June following approval from the Nuclear Safety and Security Commission.
