GS Group, Large Promotional Display at Headquarters Ahead of Busan Expo Site Inspection
GS is fueling the national enthusiasm for the Busan Expo bid by attaching large promotional materials supporting the Busan Expo to the exterior walls of major office buildings housing its group affiliates.
On the 28th, GS hung a large banner at the main entrance of the GS Tower in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, where its headquarters is located. The upper exterior walls of the building were covered with large promotional materials bearing the phrase "2030 WORLD EXPO, BUSANKOREA." The large promotional materials spanning the 14th to 16th floors of GS Tower are located approximately 112 meters above ground, making them visible from afar in the Gangnam area, including Nonhyeon Station, as well as from the Yeouido direction.

Grand Seoul, situated in front of Jonggak Station, is a suitable building to raise awareness of the importance of hosting the 2030 Busan World Expo among citizens and tourists, as it is visible not only from Gwanghwamun and Euljiro, which have heavy commuter traffic, but also from Insadong, a popular area for foreign tourists.
Starting with the installation of promotional materials on major office buildings connecting Gangnam and Gangbuk, GS plans to raise national enthusiasm for the Busan Expo bid through various promotional channels and business sites owned by its affiliates, including attaching Busan Expo bid support stickers to company vehicles.
In particular, during the period from July 2 to 7, when the onsite inspection team from the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) is scheduled to visit Korea, GS plans to conduct Expo promotional activities centered around its business sites located along the inspection team’s visit and travel routes.
First, large banners will be installed at GS Caltex gas stations located at key hubs such as Incheon Airport and downtown areas of Seoul and Busan. Promotional videos will be shown at approximately 3,000 GS25 convenience stores, and an extra-large banner will be attached to the GS Construction Xi Gallery located in Yeonsan-dong, Busan, allowing both Busan citizens and visiting inspection teams to feel the enthusiasm of Korea’s Expo bid.
Meanwhile, following Chairman Huh Tae-soo’s directive last July to support the national task of hosting the World Expo in Busan, GS Group formed the "GS Group Task Force for Supporting the Busan Expo Bid" and has been conducting organized activities through its affiliates.
Accordingly, GS Caltex has been broadcasting promotional videos supporting the Busan Expo bid on outdoor electronic billboards located in Taepyeong-ro, Jung-gu, and has also displayed large banners and messages on electronic billboards at the Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul, where GS Caltex’s volleyball team plays.
GS Retail has been conveying the enthusiasm for the Busan Expo bid to the public through its GS25 convenience stores, home shopping broadcasts, and mobile shopping pages. FC Seoul, operated by GS Sports, has attached promotional patches for the Busan Expo to players’ uniforms and is conducting support campaigns for the Busan Expo bid throughout the Sangam World Cup Stadium during matches.
