Busan Station Welcomes Guests with Renovations... Busan Facilities Corporation Conducts Environmental Maintenance Work
The plaza at Busan Station, the gateway to Busan, is revealing a new face.
Busan Facilities Corporation announced on the 27th that it is conducting extensive environmental maintenance work throughout March at the Busan Eurasia Platform plaza area in preparation for the onsite inspection by the International Bureau of Expositions (BIE) scheduled from April 2 to 7.
During March, the corporation completed 38 environmental maintenance tasks around the Busan Eurasia Platform, including sign maintenance, safety railing reinforcement, and planting flowers.
On the 27th, final water cleaning and maintenance work took place at Busan Station plaza. Advanced cleaning equipment such as high-pressure spray washers for tunnel and road cleaning from the Road Management Department and aerial work vehicles were deployed.

View original imageEarlier, on the 23rd, the corporation invited nine field workers from five organizations including Choryang Police Substation, Dong-gu Office, Dong-gu Health Center, and Somang Comprehensive Support Center to hold a meeting aimed at resolving issues such as homelessness, public intoxication disturbances, and smoking at Busan Station plaza.
Park In-ho, Acting Director of Busan Facilities Corporation, said, “We will spare no effort and support to instill a clean and beautiful city image at Busan Station plaza, where visitors take their first step in Busan, and to contribute to the successful bid for the 2030 World Expo Busan.”

Previously, on the 24th, Busan Facilities Corporation conducted extensive maintenance and cleaning of major coastal ring road infrastructure including the suspension bridge towers of Gwangandaegyo Bridge, Namhang Bridge, Dongmyeong Overpass, Yeongdo Overpass, as well as soundproof tunnels, falling object prevention facilities, road safety structures, and key facilities in Busan.
