Kim Tae-woo, Mayor of Gangseo District, “Expresses Deep Gratitude and Respect for the Dedication of Volunteers”
On the 24th, Kim Tae-woo, Mayor of Gangseo District, Seoul, presented certificates of appreciation to meritorious individuals who have worked hard for community harmony and regional development throughout the district, expressing his gratitude.
At 2 p.m. that day, the district held a commendation ceremony for exemplary and benevolent residents in the district’s main conference room, awarding certificates to nine residents who have devoted themselves to the local community through various means such as talent donation and volunteer activities.
The recipients from the Gangseo Hope Youth Volunteer Group?Kim Il-hee, Kim Nam-hee, Lee Na-geum, Kim Jeong-hyun, and Song Eun-joo?have continuously practiced food sharing volunteer work for vulnerable groups and hairdressing services for the elderly, becoming great role models in the community.
Yeom Chang-dong’s Hong Hwa-ye enthusiastically participated in sponsorship events and volunteer activities for low-income families and the elderly, and Kim In-sook, director of the Deungchon 2-dong Deungmarugol Small Library, was recognized for her contributions by running cultural library programs for all ages from infants to seniors and working as a volunteer counselor.
Additionally, Seo Hwa-young of Hwagok 1-dong contributed to community harmony through activities addressing local environmental issues and organizing small concerts and exhibitions. Park Ki-soon, director of Shalom House, a residential facility for people with intellectual disabilities, was acknowledged for her dedication to advocating for the rights of the disabled, representing families’ difficulties, and actively working to improve disability awareness, leading efforts to create a warm community.
