A man in his 20s drowns while trying to swim in the sea after drinking in Tongyeong
The Coast Guard rescue team is conducting an underwater search for a person in distress who fell into the water.

At around 1:24 a.m. on the 24th, a man in his 20s drowned and died in the water at Gangguan, Tongyeong-si, Gyeongnam.
According to the Tongyeong Coast Guard, Mr. A drank alcohol with his friend Mr. B at a nearby restaurant and then entered the water first to swim.
While Mr. B, who cannot swim, went to get a life ring, Mr. A sank underwater, and a passerby who witnessed this reported it to 119.
Upon receiving the report, the Tongyeong Coast Guard immediately dispatched the Coast Guard rescue team and a coastal rescue boat to the scene to conduct an underwater search.
Mr. A, rescued by the Coast Guard, was unconscious and had weak breathing. Despite emergency measures and being transported to the hospital, he ultimately passed away.
