Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly Urban Environment Committee Chairperson Yoo Young-il of the People Power Party
Yoo Young-il, a member of the People Power Party representing Anyang 5, was elected as the Chair of the Urban Environment Committee of the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly after a 7-month vacancy.
The Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly announced on the 23rd that it held a plenary session and elected Yoo Young-il as the Chair of the Urban Environment Committee. This comes seven months after the former chair Baek Hyun-jong (Guri 1) resigned on August 22 of last year.

Former Chair Baek resigned amid internal conflicts within the People Power Party following the defeat in the provincial assembly chair election and demanded the resignation of Representative Gwak Mi-sook, stepping down from the chair position. The term of the newly appointed Chair Yoo will last until June 30 of next year.
