Police Officer in His 50s to Be Disciplined for Sexual Harassment of Junior Colleague
An active-duty police officer is set to be disciplined on charges of sexually harassing a junior female officer.
On the 23rd, the National Police Agency announced that disciplinary action is scheduled against A, a 50-year-old police inspector affiliated with the Jongno Police Station in Seoul.
A is accused of sexually harassing a junior officer while working at a district unit under the Mapo Police Station in Seoul last December.
At the time, A reportedly made physical contact, such as putting an arm around the junior officer’s shoulder, saying “She’s like a daughter” while they were on a joint patrol. After the victim filed a complaint, disciplinary procedures began, and A was reassigned to a different police station.
