A ship ran aground near Gwangdaedo Island in Jodo-myeon, Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do, prompting the Coast Guard to launch an emergency rescue operation.
According to the Mokpo Coast Guard, at around 6:44 a.m. on the 23rd, a 40-ton coastal gillnet fishing vessel A, carrying 13 people, was reported to have run aground near Gwangdaedo Island in Jodo-myeon, Jindo-gun.
The Mokpo Coast Guard immediately convened a situation support team and dispatched available forces, including patrol vessels and the West Sea Special District Unit, to the scene to carry out rescue operations.
