The Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) held the '2nd KCCI Supporters Launch Ceremony' at the Chamber of Commerce building on the 22nd. The supporters, a youth generation group selected from 100 applicants following the first term, aim to promote key economic projects such as the Busan Expo and KCCI communication platforms both online and offline.
Unlike the first term supporters last year, this group includes about 30 global influencers. Since the 2030 Expo hosting decision will be made by votes from over 170 member countries of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), these influencers will help raise awareness of Busan in those countries.
Many influencers attracting attention include 'Hype Rae' Praphat Udomsaporn, known as a high-tension YouTuber from Thailand with 720,000 subscribers, who serves as a Korean tourism assistant and stated, "I will incorporate Thai humor and metaphors into K-content." Myanmar beauty creator 'Hanayuri,' with 770,000 Instagram followers, said, "I want to share how the Busan Expo can realize a better future." 'Indian sister' Shivani Singh plans to work as a special correspondent at the Expo site.

They will also engage in various offline on-site promotions by visiting Busan (citizen communication vlogs), Seoul (visible radio, busking), and regional spring festivals in line with the BIE's on-site inspection schedule in Busan in April.
In particular, the Busan Expo’s unique point is not only to build national pavilions showcasing technological advancements but also to gather ideas from global citizens from the bottom up to solve worldwide problems and continuously consider them together. This message will be vividly conveyed through SNS to gain support from the global youth generation.
Woo Tae-hee, the full-time vice chairman of KCCI, said in his congratulatory speech, "Recent KCCI projects include many new and fresh attempts different from the traditional roles of economic organizations," and urged, "Young and bright individuals should properly communicate changes in the economic sector and especially devote their passion to the Expo bid."
