Emart24 Sells Wondungi Goods... Strengthening Marketing
100 Won Sale to Customers Holding the App 'Ruby'
Emart24 announced on the 21st that it will strengthen its marketing efforts utilizing intellectual property (IP), including the launch of merchandise featuring its brand character, Wondungi.
Wondungi is Emart24's original character, first introduced in April last year. The character's story is based on Wondungi coming to Earth to experience convenience stores after successfully running the Emart24 Hwaseong branch.
The Wondungi character has gained great popularity. The average daily interactions on Emart24's official Instagram, which features the Wondungi character, increased more than threefold compared to the same period last year by the end of last month. Additionally, the number of KakaoTalk Plus Friends grew by 121% year-on-year, securing a fandom of over 900,000 people.
Emart24 is launching a special event where customers holding the in-app currency ‘Ruby’ can purchase Wondungi space suit dolls and Wondungi banana and space suit doll keyrings for only 100 won each.
