The Industrial Transition Joint Training Center aims to cultivate eco-friendly and smart professionals to achieve carbon neutrality for Ulsan’s refining and petrochemical companies. It operates 10 training courses for 30 partner companies and about 300 trainees.
The courses consist of topics such as an overview of carbon neutrality and Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) technology, energy recycling process equipment technology, and smart plant construction technology.
SK Energy plans to expand the number of partner companies and training subjects to more than 50 each by 2026. Through this, it aims to create a total economic value of 4 billion KRW over five years and take the lead in enhancing the competitiveness of the domestic refining and petrochemical industry.
