Korea Tourism Organization to Host the 13th Tourism Venture Final Demo Day on the 28th
The Korea Tourism Organization announced on the 20th that it will hold the '13th Tourism Venture Final Demo Day' in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The Demo Day will take place on the 28th at 3 PM on the 15th floor of the Korea Tourism Organization Seoul Center in Jung-gu, Seoul. During the event, the organization plans to share the achievements and future visions of 11 selected companies, chosen from a total of 140 early-stage (within 3 years of establishment) tourism venture companies discovered and nurtured in 2022, based on recommendations from their respective consulting firms.
Since 2011, the organization has discovered venture companies annually through the Tourism Venture Business Contest and has supported a total of 1,298 companies to date. This has resulted in attracting investments worth 151.6 billion KRW and achieving sales of 516.9 billion KRW.
This Demo Day is attracting significant attention from domestic and international startup investors and angel investors, alongside the rapid recovery of the tourism industry.
In particular, this year's event will focus on networking to facilitate actual investments from early-stage investors and angel investors, rather than IR pitching evaluations. Starting this year, tourism venture mentors including Yanolja, Tide Square, Expedia, and Trip.com will participate to support business linkage and scalability with tourism ventures.
