Suwon City Provides Supplies to Private Facilities Opening Restrooms
The city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province will provide supplies such as soap and volume-based waste bags to private facilities that open their restrooms to the public.
To receive supply support, facilities must meet the following requirements: ▲ The building use must be classified as Type 1 or 2 neighborhood living facilities or office facilities ▲ The location must have high foot traffic and be easily accessible ▲ Separate restrooms for men and women must be installed.
On the 20th, Suwon City announced that it will provide facilities operating open restrooms with 2 liters of liquid soap, six 50-liter volume-based waste bags, and roll toilet paper every month.
The city will inspect the restrooms and conduct an internal review before deciding whether to designate them as open restrooms.
Once designated as an open restroom, facilities must adhere to operating hours and keep convenience items such as toilet paper and liquid soap available at all times.
Additionally, restrooms must be kept clean and hygienically maintained.
