Discovering Collaborative Projects for Elderly Traffic Safety
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] On the 20th, the National Police Agency announced that it has signed a business agreement with the Korea Senior Citizens Association to prevent accidents involving the elderly.
This agreement was established to prepare for a super-aged society and to discover cooperative projects for the traffic safety and welfare of senior citizens.
During the event, certificates of appreciation were awarded to those who contributed to securing traffic safety for the elderly. Traffic safety supplies for preventing accidents involving the elderly were also delivered.
Kim Ho-il, President of the Korea Senior Citizens Association, said, "I am pleased to sign this agreement with the National Police Agency to prevent accidents involving senior citizens," adding, "We will work closely with the National Police Agency to ensure that no unfortunate accidents happen to our elders."
Yoon Hee-geun, Commissioner of the National Police Agency, responded, "We will focus on building a traffic environment and fostering a safe traffic culture so that all senior citizens can travel comfortably and safely anytime and anywhere."
