During an Argument, Car Stopped in the Middle of the Highway... 60-Year-Old Woman Dies
A couple who were arguing inside their car stopped the vehicle in the middle of the highway, and the wife was hit by a bus and died.
At around 9:30 a.m. on the 19th, near the Namcheongju IC on the northbound Seoul-bound lane of the Gyeongbu Expressway in Seowon-gu, Cheongju-si, Chungbuk, an express bus collided with a passenger car that was stopped in the bus-only lane. Among the couple in their 60s in the passenger car, the driver, Mr. A (64), escaped unharmed by getting out of the vehicle just before the accident, but his wife, Mrs. B (65), was hit by the bus while getting out from the front passenger seat and died.
Three of the 15 passengers on the express bus also sustained minor injuries from the impact and were taken to the hospital.
