Jeju Fire Station Conducts Nighttime Fire Suppression Drill at Traditional Market
The Jeju Fire Station announced on the 19th that it recently conducted a nighttime fire suppression drill at Dongmun Traditional Market.
The drill was carried out in an unannounced nighttime dispatch format to strengthen initial fire response capabilities, enable rapid extinguishing, and cultivate evacuation skills. About 30 personnel, including firefighters and volunteer fire brigade members, along with 9 pieces of equipment, were mobilized.
The main training contents included ▲initial fire response by the self-defense fire brigade ▲positioning of vehicles according to the situation at the first response team’s entry site ▲high-altitude water spraying fire suppression using special vehicles ▲securing firefighting water and smoke ventilation tactics ▲on-site recognition training within the market, conducted with the cooperation of Dongmun Market stakeholders.
A fire official stated, “As this is a fire prevention reinforcement zone, we will protect the lives and property of the public through efficient fire suppression and rescue operations in the event of a disaster.”
