Visit to Uljin-gun and Gangneung-si
Han Chang-seop, Vice Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, visited Uljin-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and Gangneung-si, Gangwon-do on the 18th to inspect the spring wildfire preparedness measures.
First, he visited the Uljin-gun Forest Aviation Management Office under the Korea Forest Service to check Gyeongsangbuk-do's spring wildfire prevention measures and the aerial wildfire suppression system, as well as inspecting the hangar management status.
Next, he visited the temporary housing complex in Sinhwa 2-ri, Buk-myeon, Uljin-gun, where victims of last year's large wildfire reside, to observe their living conditions and listen to the residents' voices.

He then visited the ‘Gangwon-do Wildfire Prevention Center,’ which is jointly operated by the Korea Forest Service, Korea Meteorological Administration, National Fire Agency, and local governments to respond to wildfires in the East Coast area of Gangwon-do.
