View original imageFred Couples (USA), who plays on the PGA Senior Tour, revealed in an interview with the Orange County Register, a regional newspaper in California, USA, on the 17th (Korean time), "LIV Golf offered Zalatoris $130 million (about 169.2 billion KRW) to switch tours."
Couples heard this information from Zalatoris' agent. LIV Golf initially offered Zalatoris $35 million (about 45.5 billion KRW), but when he did not respond, they increased the amount to $130 million.
Zalatoris is a ‘young gun’ who won his first career title last August at the FedEx St. Jude Championship. He has been recognized as a next-generation star by finishing in the top 10 six times, including three runner-up finishes in nine major tournaments. Zalatoris placed second at the 2021 Masters, followed by runner-up finishes at last year’s PGA Championship and the US Open.
