Korea Elevator Association Signs Workforce Supply Agreement with Shinan University
The Korea Elevator Association announced on the 16th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Shinan Ansan University, located in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, to address the supply and demand of elevator technical personnel through industry-academia cooperation.
Through this MOU, Shinan Ansan University will expand employment opportunities in the related industry by providing specialized, field-tailored education to students in the Department of Elevator Engineering. The Korea Elevator Association and small and medium-sized elevator companies expect to alleviate the manpower shortage by securing technical personnel through field training, workshops, and lectures.

Kim Ki-young, president of the Korea Elevator Association, stated, “With this agreement, both institutions will work together to resolve the chronic manpower shortage in the elevator industry and promote the development of the elevator sector. We also request that the government prepare various efforts and funding support plans to expand specialized elevator personnel training institutions and improve working conditions.”
