HiteJinro, Terra Obtain 'Non-GMO Food' Certification
HiteJinro announced on the 16th that 'Terra' has obtained Non-Genetically Modified Organism (NON-GMO) certification.
Since last year, HiteJinro has been striving to acquire NON-GMO certification for Terra. To meet the certification standards of the certifying body, the 'NON-GMO Project,' it was confirmed that all raw materials and secondary ingredients used in Terra are free from genetic modification. Additionally, a management system and preventive procedure manual were established to prevent mixing with other materials throughout the distribution of raw materials, brewing process, and production facility management until Terra was created. It took more than seven months to pass the strict verification of the 'NON-GMO PROJECT,' which ensures that no GMO materials are mixed from raw materials to all pre-production processes.

With this certification acquisition, HiteJinro plans to further differentiate the brand image of Terra. Oh Seong-taek, Executive Director of HiteJinro's Marketing Division, stated, “As interest in safe food increases, interest in NON-GMO foods is also expected to continue growing. Since it has been verified by a global certification body, we believe it will have a positive effect on enhancing brand awareness and trust not only in the domestic market but also in overseas markets.”
