Two Trucks Collide on Namhae Expressway... 60s Driver Dies
At around 2:50 PM on the 15th, an 11-ton truck rear-ended a 5-ton truck that was slowing down due to traffic congestion at Chilwon Junction on the Namhae Expressway heading towards Busan.
According to the 6th District Highway Patrol Unit of the Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency, the driver of the 11-ton truck, Mr. A, in his 60s, died in the accident, and the driver of the 5-ton truck, Mr. B, in his 50s, was transported to the hospital.
Manure carried on the truck spilled onto the road, causing one lane of the expressway to be closed, which slowed down traffic for a while.
Mr. B is receiving treatment and is reported to be in stable condition without life-threatening injuries.
