The Silla University Lifelong Education Center held the '22nd Silla Seniors Academy Entrance Ceremony' on the 14th.
At the event, Kang Kyung-tae, Director of the Silla University Lifelong Education Center, university officials, professors in charge of classes, representatives of senior graduates, and the president of the alumni association attended. The ceremony proceeded in the order of student registration, welcome speech (congratulatory address), and operational guidance.

View original imageSince 2010, Silla University has been entrusted by Busan City to operate the Silla Seniors Academy, which is organized by Busan City, to contribute to the healthy aging of the senior population aged 60 and over.
So far, a total of 1,036 graduates have completed the program up to the 21st term, and they have been engaged in various community activities such as volunteer work including the Hope Sharing Campaign and helping the underprivileged.
For the 22nd term, lectures in various fields will be offered with the goal of promoting lifelong educational activities for seniors in the western Busan area, including understanding and appreciation of traditional Korean music (gugak), YouTube Silver Creator, traditional tea ceremony etiquette, and everyday flower arranging.

A Silla University official said, "We plan to hold classes every Tuesday and Thursday from March to June," adding, "It is very meaningful to contribute to the healthy leisure life of local seniors."
