A Man in His 40s Arrested for Breaking into a Store at Midnight and Stealing 4 Million Won
A man who broke into an empty store late at night and stole from the cash register safe was handcuffed.
The Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency announced on the 15th that they arrested and sent 40-year-old Mr. A to prosecution on charges of nighttime residential burglary and theft under Article 330 of the Criminal Act.
According to the provincial police agency, around 4 a.m. on January 7, Mr. A entered through a window at the back of a hair salon in Jinhae-gu, Changwon City, and fled with 120,000 won in cash from the cash register safe.
He is suspected of stealing cash and other valuables worth approximately 4 million won over 10 incidents at hair salons, restaurants, and unmanned stores in the Changwon area from around October last year to February this year.
The police tracked his movements by analyzing nearby CCTV footage and identified the one-room apartment complex where Mr. A was hiding.
