Arrest Warrant Denied for Daejin-yeon Member in Surprise Protest at US Military Base
The arrest warrant for Mr. A, a member of the Korean University Students Progressive Union (Daejinyeon), who is accused of trespassing on a U.S. military base and staging a surprise protest, was dismissed.
On the 13th, Judge Jeong In-jae, in charge of warrants at the Seoul Western District Court, dismissed the arrest warrant after a substantive hearing, stating that "there is no risk of flight or possibility of evidence destruction."

Mr. A is accused of holding a protest against the South Korea-U.S. joint military exercises in front of the former South Korea-U.S. Combined Forces Command building at the Yongsan U.S. military base on the afternoon of the 10th (charges of trespassing and violation of the Assembly and Demonstration Act).
