Daewoo E&C-KIND Sign Agreement Ceremony to Support UAM Overseas Expansion
Daewoo E&C announced on the 13th that it held a signing ceremony on the 10th for a cooperation agreement with the Korea Overseas Infrastructure & Urban Development Corporation (KIND) to support overseas expansion of Urban Air Mobility (UAM).
KIND, a specialized support organization for overseas investment and development projects, is a public institution under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. A Daewoo E&C official stated, "We expect proactive cooperation requests related to the UAM business and increased possibilities for collaboration with other related public institutions."
At the signing ceremony, Daewoo E&C and KIND agreed on mutual support for activities such as collecting and publishing information related to overseas UAM market entry, investigating and discovering promising UAM projects, and development.
Additionally, the agreement includes cooperation in jointly discovering new UAM-related businesses within Daewoo E&C’s key countries alongside KIND, indicating that Daewoo E&C plans to expand its UAM business beyond domestic borders to overseas markets.

Baek Jeong-wan, CEO of Daewoo E&C, said, “I believe this signing ceremony with KIND will be beneficial for both companies in the UAM business,” and added, “Through Daewoo E&C’s infrastructure-related capabilities and KIND’s overseas market expertise, we hope to become the leader in South Korea’s UAM industry.”
