Gangbuk-gu Supports Local Business Revitalization and Creation of Specialized Streets
Participation of 20 or more stores of the same industry or 40 or more clustered stores in a specific area

Implementation of merchant capacity-building education, aging environment improvement, marketing support and promotion, and community revitalization projects
Gangbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Soon-hee) announced that it will promote a project to support the revitalization of local commercial districts and specialized streets to discover and nurture specialized streets that connect local conditions and various commercial district characteristics, contributing to regional economic development.
This specialized street support project is classified into four support categories: merchant capacity-building education, aging environment improvement, marketing support and promotion, and community revitalization projects. By supporting the lacking parts of commercial districts, it focuses on securing the sustainability and self-sufficiency of commercial districts and creating commercially viable districts that can develop continuously in the mid to long term.
If there are 20 or more stores of the same industry or 40 or more clustered stores in a specific area, and autonomous organizations such as prosperity associations or merchant associations are formed within the commercial district, the project can be applied for.
Applications can be submitted by visit, email, or mail until March 31. The Regional Commercial District Revitalization and Specialized Street Deliberation Committee will be held to review the necessity of designating specialized streets and the creativity of project plans, designate 4 specialized streets, and support a total project cost of 320 million KRW.
