President Yoon Suk-yeol, after attending the 77th graduation and commissioning ceremony of the Naval Academy held on the 10th in Jinhae, Gyeongnam, visited the Sejong the Great and Dosan Ahn Changho ships docked at the Jinhae base to receive a briefing on key military assets.
President Yoon Suk-yeol boarded the Dosan Ahn Chang-ho, a 3,000-ton class submarine, on the 10th, which is the first domestically designed and built submarine equipped with submarine-launched ballistic missiles (SLBM). After receiving a briefing on the current status of SLBMs and submarine operational procedures, he observed a demonstration of the SLBM vertical launch tube opening.

According to the presidential office, President Yoon received a briefing on the status and capabilities of the Korea-type triad system based at sea and inspected the detection and tracking system for enemy ballistic missiles at the site.
President Yoon boarded the Sejong the Great-class Aegis destroyer (DDG, 7,600 tons), the first Aegis destroyer of the Republic of Korea Navy, and said, "The sea-based triad system is a means to effectively retaliate and punish enemy attacks."

The presidential office added that the Sejong the Great ship participated in the joint naval exercises between South Korea and the United States, which resumed last June after a hiatus of 4 years and 7 months.

During his visit to the Naval Special Warfare Group (UDT), President Yoon stated, "The recent nature of warfare is progressing toward asymmetrical and special warfare," and added, "We must create units optimized for combat and operations. Please dedicate yourselves to training with a spirit of desperate determination."
