Gyeonggi-do Provides 600,000 KRW Quarterly to Young Workers Earning Monthly Salaries Below 3.1 Million KRW
Gyeonggi Province will provide up to 600,000 KRW per quarter to young workers earning a monthly salary of 3.1 million KRW or less.
On the 10th, Gyeonggi Province announced that it will carry out the 'Youth Welfare Points' and 'Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Youth Worker Support Project,' offering welfare points and earned income tax credits for young people working in SMEs within the province.
The Youth Welfare Points program supports young residents of Gyeonggi Province aged 18 to 34 who work at least 36 hours per week in SMEs, mid-sized companies, or non-profit organizations within the province and earn a monthly salary of 3.1 million KRW or less. It provides earned income tax credits of 300,000 KRW per quarter, up to 1.2 million KRW annually, in the form of welfare points. The total number of beneficiaries is 33,000.

The SME Youth Worker Support Project provides young residents of Gyeonggi Province aged 18 to 34 who work at least 36 hours per week in SMEs within the province and earn a monthly salary of 3.1 million KRW or less with earned income tax credits of 600,000 KRW per quarter, up to 4.8 million KRW over two years, in the form of local currency. A total of 7,400 participants will be recruited.
