Goheung-gun Holds Party-Government Council Meeting for the 8th Elected Term

Request for National Funding Support and Discussion on Regional Development Plans

Attendance by County Governor, National Assembly Members, and Provincial and County Council Members

Gohung-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gong Young-min) announced that on the 9th, it held the 1st Party-Government Council of the 8th Civilian Administration at the Gohung-gun Office Space Hall to discuss regional issues with the Democratic Party’s Gohung·Boseong·Jangheung·Gangjin Regional Committee.

At the Party-Government Council held that day, about 50 people including Gong Young-min, Governor of Gohung-gun, heads of departments and divisions, National Assembly member Kim Seung-nam, chairman of the Gohung-gun Council, provincial and county council members, and key party officials participated.

During the council, Gohung-gun requested support at the National Assembly and provincial and county council levels for 15 national budget support projects and actively discussed four regional issues.

The 15 national budget support projects include ▲ Establishment of a Space Launch Vehicle Technology Commercialization Center ▲ Construction of a Future Aircraft Flight Safety Performance Monitoring Infrastructure ▲ Establishment of a Drone Parts Localization Support Center ▲ Creation of a Base Space for the Marianne-Margaret Global Leader Training Project ▲ Construction of Gohung County Memorial Park ▲ Installation of Infrastructure (Access Roads, etc.) for Gohung Marine Art Land ▲ Creation of an Ecological Trail at Geogeum Jeokdaebong ▲ Establishment of an Eco-friendly Smart Fisheries Aquaculture Complex ▲ Construction of a Graded Dry Seaweed Distribution Facility ▲ Construction of the Gwangju~Gohung (Naro Space Center) Expressway ▲ Improvement of the Donggang Hancheon Intersection on National Road No. 15 ▲ Construction of the Gohung·Doyang~Boseong·Beolgyo Railway ▲ Establishment of a Large-scale Horticultural Complex Water Supply Base on Reclaimed Land ▲ Foundation for an Agricultural Startup Complex ▲ Creation of a New Income Export Horticulture and Specialized District.

In addition, regional issues requested by the Democratic Party regional committee were discussed, including ▲ Partial opening of Sorokdo ▲ Attraction of Hanwha Aerospace Forging and Assembly Plant to Gohung-gun ▲ Establishment of Gohung Marine Police Station ▲ Successful introduction of the Hometown Love Donation System.

National Assembly member Kim Seung-nam, who attended the council, said, “We will actively cooperate at the party level to secure national budget support and resolve issues for the happiness of Gohung residents and the development of the county administration.”

Gong Young-min, Governor of Gohung-gun, said, “We ask for much support and cooperation so that the national budget projects and regional issues discussed at the Party-Government Council can be promoted steadily and swiftly,” adding, “I hope we will work together for the change and development of Gohung based on a close cooperative relationship.”
