BPA and Busan National University AI Graduate School Sign MOU for Talent Development in Artificial Intelligence Field
Busan Port Authority (BPA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the 9th with Busan National University’s Artificial Intelligence Convergence Research Center (AI Graduate School) to foster specialized talent in the port and logistics AI sector.
According to the agreement, BPA and Busan National University’s Artificial Intelligence Convergence Research Center will collaborate to discover industry-academia R&D projects in the smart port and logistics field, and mutually cooperate in AI talent development, curriculum consultation, and technology information exchange.
BPA plans to share its expertise in AI-related technologies such as smart logistics and digital twin, and support the development and operation of specialized AI convergence education programs. Through this, it aims to help solve current issues in the port and logistics industries related to Busan Port and lead the cultivation of practical, high-level talent.

Kang Jun-seok, President of BPA, stated, “If the AI convergence field, which is a core foundation of the 4th Industrial Revolution and digital transformation, is well connected with ports and logistics, it is expected to greatly contribute to the operation of Busan Port.” He added, “We hope that the excellent AI talents nurtured through this agreement will play a significant role in developing Busan Port into a cutting-edge, smart port.”
