Incheon Airport Corporation Holds the 7th Incheon Airport Awards
Incheon International Airport Corporation announced on the 9th that it held the ‘7th Incheon Airport Awards’ ceremony at the Millennium Hall of Terminal 1 at Incheon Airport.
The Incheon Airport Awards is an event that selects and honors outstanding operators and courteous employees who have contributed to the improvement of Incheon Airport’s operations and services. This year’s event also included a time to share the determination of airport resident employees and Incheon Airport for a new leap forward in line with the recent recovery in air travel demand following the COVID-19 pandemic.
At this awards ceremony, the corporation comprehensively considered various indicators such as the promptness of work processing, safety management, and service improvement performed in 2022, and selected and awarded 17 outstanding operators in five fields: ▲Airlines ▲Commercial Facilities ▲Ground Handling ▲Cargo Airlines ▲Logistics Companies.
First, in the ▲Airlines category, seven companies including Korean Air were selected for their efforts to continue aircraft operations and enhance passenger convenience despite the prolonged crisis in the aviation industry caused by COVID-19. In the ▲Commercial Facilities category, four companies including Hyundai Department Store Duty Free, recognized for excellent customer satisfaction, were selected.
Additionally, in the ▲Ground Handling category, two companies including Swissport Korea, recognized for excellence in safety management, were selected; in the ▲Cargo Airlines category, two companies including United Parcel Service Company (UPS), which contributed to the increase in cargo volume at Incheon Airport, were selected; and in the ▲Logistics Companies category, two companies including CJ Logistics, recognized for logistics expertise, were selected as this year’s outstanding operators.
Following the 2022 Outstanding Operators Awards, the ‘Incheon Airport Kindness King’ awards were also presented. Nine individuals who worked at various customer contact points at Incheon Airport and served as role models through their courteous service were selected and commended.
After the awards ceremony, attendees shouted together the slogan ‘Re ICN, New ICN, One ICN,’ symbolizing overcoming the COVID-19 crisis and the new leap forward of Incheon Airport, sharing their determination for thorough airport operation preparation and the airport’s resurgence in response to the recent recovery in air travel demand.
