20s Man Arrested for Threatening Ex-Girlfriend with a Weapon After Breakup
A man in his 20s who assaulted his ex-girlfriend and habitually threatened her with a weapon while waiting around her home has been arrested.
The Gwangju Nambu Police Station announced on the 9th that they have detained A (25) on charges of special threats and violation of the Stalking Punishment Act.
A is accused of threatening his ex-girlfriend B (24) twice with a weapon at a villa in Wolsan-dong, Nam-gu, Gwangju, between the 2nd and 4th of this month.
It is reported that he committed these crimes because B, his ex-girlfriend, refused to meet him and did not answer his calls.
On the 20th of last month, A sent hundreds of phone calls and text messages to B, and on the 24th of the same month, he punched B’s face and abdomen while she was in his car, then fled for several tens of kilometers before being caught by the police.
