Korea Internet & Security Agency Announces Support Contest for Rapid Verification System of Information Security Products
Up to 80% Support for Security Inspection and Function Testing Fees
The Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) announced on the 9th that it will support fees through the 'Information Security Product Rapid Confirmation System Support Contest' to alleviate the burden on companies applying for the Information Security Product Rapid Confirmation System.
The Information Security Product Rapid Confirmation System, implemented since November last year, is a system that quickly reviews the security of new technologies and convergence products without evaluation criteria under the existing certification system. To apply for the Rapid Confirmation System, companies must submit security inspection results (vulnerability analysis and evaluation, software security weakness diagnosis) and functional test results.
KISA will support up to 80% of the fees for one of the security inspection or functional tests conducted during the pre-preparation stage for rapid confirmation, up to a maximum of 10 million KRW per product, to reduce the burden on domestic information security product developers and promote the activation of the Rapid Confirmation System. Support funds will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis to domestic information security product developers headquartered in the Republic of Korea who pass the rapid confirmation review and receive the rapid confirmation certificate by December 8.
