Seogwipo Coast Guard Rescues Woman in Her 60s Trapped on Rocky Shore
A woman in her 60s who was stranded on the rocky shore near Gwangchigi Beach in Seongsan-eup, Seogwipo-si, Jeju, was urgently rescued by the Seogwipo Coast Guard.
According to the Seogwipo Maritime Police Station on the 8th, a report was received the previous day at around 3:20 p.m. that a woman in her 60s, Ms. A, had her belongings fall into the water and went in to retrieve them but got her thigh stuck between the rocks and could not get out.

Upon receiving the report, the Seogwipo Coast Guard immediately dispatched a patrol team to the scene, and the officer arrived and safely rescued Ms. A, who was reported to be in good health.
A Seogwipo Coast Guard official said, "When belongings fall into the sea, do not attempt to retrieve them recklessly. Especially on rocky shores covered with a lot of moss, the risk of slipping and falling accidents is high, so extra caution for safety is necessary."
