Gwangju Seo-gu Council Discusses Climate Crisis Response Tasks
The Climate Crisis Response Special Committee of the Gwangju Metropolitan City Seo-gu Council recently held a meeting to discuss future operational plans and tasks, the committee announced on the 8th.
At the meeting, the members stated, "Due to consecutive severe droughts in Gwangju, the climate crisis is intensifying, making it urgently necessary to establish response policies," and proposed, "Let's form a research group to discover policies for low-carbon green growth."
Additionally, as future operational plans and discussion tasks of the committee, they announced plans to discover and implement policies suitable for Seo-gu by focusing on promoting carbon neutrality policies, referencing excellent cases from other local governments and overseas, and through domestic and international advanced site visits and expert lectures.
