Selected 22 People to Receive Up to 5 Million KRW Per Semester Each
The Life Insurance Social Contribution Committee, a social contribution organization established by life insurance companies, will select scholarship recipients in the financial insurance field and provide scholarships worth approximately 200 million KRW annually.
The Life Insurance Social Contribution Committee announced on the 7th that it will select 22 university and graduate school scholarship recipients for 2023 and provide a total of 188 million KRW over one year.
The selection targets are university and graduate students majoring in financial insurance studies who demonstrate excellent academic achievement. A total scholarship of 94 million KRW per semester will be provided, with 4 million KRW for university students and 5 million KRW for graduate students.
The selection will comprehensively consider academic performance as well as the applicants' financial circumstances.

Previously, the Life Insurance Social Contribution Committee has conducted this scholarship program from 2009 through last year, awarding scholarships totaling 5.2 billion KRW to 1,735 recipients. Jeong Hee-su, Chairman of the Life Insurance Association and the committee chairperson, stated, "We hope the Life Insurance Social Contribution Scholarship will serve as a stepping stone for scholarship recipients to achieve their dreams, and that all recipients will grow into valuable talents who contribute to the national economy and the development of the insurance industry."
