Busan City announced that it will launch an all-out promotional campaign for the 2030 Busan World Expo in collaboration with ‘HiteJinro,’ a brand with excellent brand power in the domestic liquor industry, and ‘Idaemyeonggwa,’ a representative local company.
This initiative aims to foster a nationwide consensus and heighten enthusiasm for the bid ahead of the on-site inspection by the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) scheduled for early April, utilizing various networks and promotional channels owned by these companies to engage closely with citizens.
HiteJinro will support the promotion by wrapping the logo and promotional slogans of the 2030 Busan World Expo on its newly introduced commercial vehicles this year. From March, promotional vehicles for the 2030 Busan World Expo can be seen in the Yeongnam region.
HiteJinro employees will have promotional slogans wishing for the successful bid for the 2030 Busan World Expo printed on their business cards. Through this, they aim to create a consensus among citizens and practice HiteJinro’s ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) philosophy of “Brewing a healthy tomorrow that everyone dreams of.”
Additionally, a total of 7.5 million bottles of HiteJinro’s flagship liquor products such as ‘Terra,’ ‘Jinro,’ and ‘Chamisul’ will feature supportive promotional labels for the bid, and the company’s TV commercials will also broadcast messages cheering for the bid, joining the momentum of citizen-centered promotional support.
As Busan is the candidate city for hosting the 2030 World Expo, local companies are also showing strong enthusiasm for the bid. Following donations from local companies such as Nexen Group, Sewoon Steel, and Sammi Construction, ‘Idaemyeonggwa,’ a traditional rice cracker specialty bakery operating in Busan since the 1950s, is also contributing to spreading the bid enthusiasm.

Idaemyeonggwa’s promotional stores include Geumsa Branch (headquarters), Guseo Branch, Namcheon Branch, Lotte Department Store (Busan Main Branch), Bupyeong Branch, Sajik Branch, City Hall Branch, Shinsegae Centum Branch, Hyundai Department Store, and Haeundae Branch.
Furthermore, Idaemyeonggwa plans to affix hologram stickers wishing for the successful bid on 50,000 product boxes and support major events with its products, fulfilling its responsibility as a leading local company to maximize enthusiasm for the bid ahead of the BIE on-site inspection.
Mayor Park Hyung-jun expressed his sincere gratitude to the company officials who willingly participated in this promotional campaign for the 2030 Busan World Expo ahead of the BIE on-site inspection.
