Ministry of the Interior and Safety Conducts Intensive Inspection on Safety Management During Thawing Season
Areas at Risk of Collapse, Rockfall, and Landslides
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced on the 5th that it will conduct safety inspections for three weeks starting tomorrow to prevent safety accidents that may occur as the ground frozen during winter thaws during the thawing season.
This safety inspection will target areas nationwide where there is a risk of ground subsidence or collapse of facilities·falling rocks, or concerns about landslides due to mountain development, and plans to inspect whether related agencies and facility managers have established safety measures, conducted safety checks, and maintained facilities.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety conducted safety inspections over two years, 2021 and 2022, on vulnerable areas during the thawing season and regions at risk of landslides and slope safety accidents.
