According to the Myeonggok Police Substation of Changwon Seobu Police Station in Gyeongnam on the 2nd, a man in his 40s, Mr. A, drove approximately 10 km while intoxicated from Gayabaekhwajeom in Odong-dong, Masanhappo-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongnam to Bonggok-ro in Uichang-gu at around 10:48 p.m. on the 1st.
Mr. A crossed the center line on a curve in front of 32 Bonggok-ro, collided with a guardrail and a parked cargo truck with his passenger car, stopped, and then fled the scene.
The police chasing the vehicle and four delivery drivers who witnessed the incident pursued Mr. A as he fled into an alley, and motorcycles and police cars surrounded him, successfully apprehending him at the scene.
Breathalyzer results revealed that Mr. A had consumed alcohol at a level warranting license cancellation.
