Yongin City Announces Children's Food Culture Improvement Poster Contest... Submissions Accepted Until the End of This Month

View original imageYongin City in Gyeonggi Province is holding its first-ever children's poster contest to promote proper food culture.
Yongin City announced that it will hold a poster contest for elementary school students nationwide from the 2nd to the 31st of this month to create a proper food culture and a safe food distribution environment.
The contest themes can be freely chosen from topics such as ▲eating an appropriate amount ▲not reusing food waste ▲preventing food poisoning ▲washing hands before meals, focusing on food culture and food safety.
Students wishing to participate should submit their posters on an 8-cut drawing paper (394x272mm) along with the application form.
The city will select 22 outstanding works through a review by the Yongin Art Association based on theme suitability, creativity, composition and expression, and promotional value, and announce the results on the city’s website on the 17th of next month.
The award ceremony will be held on May 11 during the Food Safety Day event.
All winners will receive the Yongin Mayor’s Award and cultural gift certificates.

A city official explained, "We prepared this poster contest for the first time to help children realize the importance of balanced nutrition and clean hygiene on their own."
