Sejong Center 'Happiness for 1,000 Won' to Attract 10,000 More Visitors This Year
Announcement of the 2023 Annual Performance Schedule
Sejong Center for the Performing Arts announced the annual schedule for this year's 'Happiness for One Thousand Won' performances on the 2nd.
Since its debut in 2007, 'Happiness for One Thousand Won' has been watched by over 360,000 citizens and is a representative social contribution and cultural sharing project of Sejong Center for the Performing Arts. With its groundbreaking ticket price and high-quality performances, it has lowered the barrier to attending performances, becoming a long-running program loved not only by audiences but also by participating artists.
This year, the program will be further expanded by significantly increasing the number of grand theater performances, providing viewing opportunities to about 22,000 citizens annually.
In particular, as part of Seoul City's 'Walking with the Vulnerable' initiative, the 'Happiness Sharing Seats' for culturally and socially marginalized groups such as self-reliant youth, children, and the elderly will be expanded. In addition to the existing method of allocating some seats as 'Happiness Sharing Seats,' four performances will be planned where all seats are operated as 'Happiness Sharing Seats,' creating stages to share with more citizens.
Starting with the performance on the 21st of this month at the grand theater, a total of 10 events and 16 rich performances will welcome citizens, including 6 grand theater performances, 5 chamber hall performances, 2 M Theater performances, and 3 S Theater performances.
Tickets for the March performance of 'Happiness for One Thousand Won,' titled 'Going On Concert,' can be applied for from 2 p.m. on the 3rd until the 8th through the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts 'Happiness for One Thousand Won' website.
