At this meeting, Governor Kim expressed his gratitude for the hard work of various social welfare organizations and workers, shared a luncheon, and listened to the opinions of the executives.
Governor Kim stated, "I have said that I will make Gyeonggi Province a land of opportunity, but it seems there are too many obstacles to providing more and fairer opportunities to residents and citizens in our society," adding, "Seeing various incidents such as the three mothers in Suwon, the fatal accident at a bakery in Pyeongtaek, the extreme choices of people with developmental disabilities, and the October 29 disaster, I have been thinking more about providing more opportunities, especially fairer opportunities. More opportunities mean economic revitalization, education, and social dynamism, while fairer opportunities signify an inclusive and mutually prosperous community."
He continued, "Recently, although there has been much talk about issues such as disabilities, social economy, civil society, and climate environment, there seem to be regressive trends in practice, but Gyeonggi Province does not intend to follow that path," and said, "Gyeonggi Province, including the Emergency Welfare Call Center, is committed to acting with sincerity. We want to join forces to create a Gyeonggi Province full of inclusion and coexistence. During my tenure as governor, I promise to build a community with a genuine heart."
The Gyeonggi Social Welfare Solidarity is a voluntary association of 27 institutions and organizations engaged in social welfare work within the province, established in 2015.
Participants include the Gyeonggi Senior Welfare Facilities Association, Gyeonggi Social Workers Association, Gyeonggi Disabled Welfare Facilities Association, and Gyeonggi Child Welfare Association, among others. Representatives from 19 organizations attended the meeting.

In particular, since February this year, proactive welfare policies have been implemented to realize "fairer opportunities" and a "welfare Gyeonggi where we live together," including support for heating costs for vulnerable groups.
